Workout Week 5.11.09

This was an extremely busy work week and I am trying to get my workouts in after or before my shifts at Nordstrom. I am not used to being on my feet as much as I have been lately. I need to get some new flats and I would be good to go.

Happy Birthday Kingston!







Here is Kingston at birth. He was such a beautiful baby.

Kingston turned 1 over the weekend!
His birthday is May 15th but we had his party on May 17th.

I just can't get over how time flies and how big Kingston has gotten. He is the most sincere, adorable little boy and I enjoy seeing him grow. He is still not walking yet, but is crawling and scooting around all over the house. He can stand up for a min and then he will fall over. I know it will be any day that he will take his first steps. he is an observer and enjoys watching Emi and all of her crazy adventures. Emi is still learning to share and has been going through a rough time. But I know that she will be a great big sister and do what she can to protect her little brother.

Julia & Brian had a get together with friends and family to celebrate the great day. It was 87 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. We really got to have fun watching the kids play with their toys and in their baby pools and of course the great food! Fun was had by all!

Mother's Day

It was a gorgeous day for Mom's in PTown on Sunday. I was happy to see the sun come out and to enjoy some great time with our families. We had breakfast over at Mom's in the am. Julia and the kids came over and Darren & I cooked granola french toast with bacon & fruit! It was delicious and mom loved it. We then we to Allyson's and had gumbo to celebrate Darren's bday and Mothers Day. It was a fantastic meal and I came over extremely full. I will have to have a long run tomorrow. NO EXCUSES. I didn't have to work on Sunday, which made the day with my family even better.

New & Exciting Career Path





Hello Fellow Bloggers!
Would anyone like to take a guess at what my new gig is?
I am bringing together my knowledge of apparel, my love of shopping, and my relationships with people and putting them all together for my next career. I am pleased to announce that I am beginning work at NORDSTROM this week!!!!!! So exciting. I had a fantastic training day together. We got to hear about the culture and the companies past. It was great to see what a successful company NORDSTROM is and how they have so many inspiring people working there. I am excited about the next steps and hoping getting promoted and taking on new challenges. Wish me luck!

Workout Week 4.27.09

Not a good week for working out at all! I was is in bed for over 2 days and it has taken me a good week to feel like getting out of bed and sweating. I believe that it will take about a month to start feeling completely better, but every day is getting better & better. Darren's bronchitis got the best of me. I did take some good walks and got a run in over the weekend but that was about it. I am really bummed because the week before I had a great week. I gave up most carbs and soda and lost 3lbs in a week. This was fantastic, but maybe this messed up my immune system and caused me to get ill. Oh well. I am ready for the next week and getting back into the gym with successful workouts and weights.
